We believe that being a good citizen doesn’t simply involve improving the lives of our friends and neighbors. We know that being a good neighbor entails building a solid foundation for the future. That’s why we’ve made a commitment to preserve the environment for generations to come: at work, in our skies and in our communities.

Certifications

Many of Gulfstream’s facilities are ISO 14001-registered and OHSAS 18001-compliant. We have voluntarily implemented a management system that integrates environmental, health and safety considerations into all of our business planning and decision-making.

Initiatives

At Gulfstream, we strive to be an industry leader in improving environmental quality by reducing the use of natural resources and promoting reuse and recycling.

In 2008, Gulfstream recycled more than 250,000 pounds of hazardous waste and 750,000 pounds of nonhazardous materials for reuse. Those figures don’t include the paper, aluminum cans and plastic bottles that employees deposit daily in company recycling bins.

Innovation in Focus: The G650 Business Jet

Perhaps the greatest indication of our commitment to preserving the environment is the way we design our aircraft. The ultra-large cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 is the flagship of the Gulfstream fleet. It will fly farther and faster than any other business jet in its class. Yet, the G650 will achieve better fuel efficiency and lower emissions than any competing business jet.
