Bill has over 36 years of experience in military and corporate aviation. He served in the United States Air Force for 12 years and with Gulfstream for the past 24. He began as an aircraft electrician in the USAF and ended his military career as an aircraft electrical systems instructor before moving to Gulfstream in 1987. Hired as a service training instructor, Bill co-developed the GIV service training program delivering hands-on OJT to new GIV operators after completion of GIV maintenance initial training at FlightSafety. After 2 years in the service training program, he was selected to become a Field Service Representative and was initially based in the Washington , DC area. In 1995, Bill became the Southeastern United States Area Manager with area responsibility for eastern states from Washington , DC south to Florida . In 1996, he was promoted to Operations Manager for the entire eastern US and relocated to the New York area. Area management responsibility for Latin America was added to Bill's region in 1998. Bill previously was a member of the customer training board (a predecessor to the customer advisory board) and was a principal driver in the development of the Operational Maintenance Procedures course at Flight Safety. This course is now the final phase of the highly-respected Master Technician rating given by FSI to only the most highly-skilled and trained technicians. Bill is a FAA-licensed Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. He also holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Occupational Education from Eastern Illinois University and an Associates degree in Aircraft Electrical Systems Technology from the Community College of the Air Force. Bill has completed initial maintenance training from FlightSafety on all model aircraft in the Gulfstream fleet, including the two newest additions to the Gulfstream family of business aircraft, the G450 and G550. | |||||||||
