Over the past 23 years, Randy has had the opportunity to work on many different Gulfstream aircraft and brings his experience and knowledge to serve as a Field Service Representative for the Middle East and Africa and is now based in Dubai, UAE. He began his aviation career as a jet engine mechanic in the United States Navy. He then attended Embry Riddle Aeronautical University where he obtained his Airframe & Powerplant license. After a short employment with a small FBO working on single and twin-engine light aircraft, he joined Gulfstream in March 1982. He worked in several different capacities in the Service Center, beginning as an A & P mechanic, served in the Flight Test Department on two occasions, worked as a quality control inspector, and also part-time for FlightSafety International providing GIV and GV flight simulator engine run and taxi training to Gulfstream customers. Randy has been assigned to numerous off-site assignments as well. He was assigned to Dallas, TX where he was responsible for updating, obtaining C of A and delivery to customers of several GIV aircraft and also Long Beach, CA where he performed the same duties. Additionally, he was assigned to Field Service Support in Cairns, Queensland, Australia in support of a GIV. He has worked in the CLS program, having been assigned to Okinawa, Japan, as supervisor in charge of maintenance and operation of a GIV for the United States Marine Corp. Most recently he has completed a contractual assignment for the CLS Program in Athens, Greece in support of the Hellenic Air Force for approximately 30 months, providing training and support of personnel for their GV. | |||||||||||
