Before joining Gulfstream in 1997, Berman was a partner in the corporate department of Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson in New York. His practice at Fried Frank focused on public and private offerings of securities, mergers and acquisitions, and the representation of public companies.
He graduated in 1986 from New York University School of Law, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, the national law school honorary society, and the Law Review. He earned a bachelor's degree, cum laude, from the University of Pennsylvania in 1983.
