Gulfstream Aerospace Names Mark Burns Vice President, Customer Program Management

Savannah, GA, March 2, 2000 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of General Dynamics, announced today an appointment that will further enhance the company's capability to manage business relationships with its customers.

Mark Burns has been named Vice President, Customer Program Management. In this new position, Burns will lead a team of Customer Program Managers, who are the single point of contact for new aircraft customers from contract signing, through manufacturing, completion and entry into service of their aircraft. He will report to Jim Holcombe, Vice President of Marketing and Sales Support.

"Mark is a widely recognized executive in the industry and highly respected by customers," said Holcombe. "With his experience, knowledge of Gulfstream and strong customer focus, he will provide the necessary leadership to continue to provide our customers with world-class personalized service in our larger, multi-site environment."

Over the past few years, Gulfstream has grown dramatically. It now produces and outfits 65 to 75 aircraft per year, with completions taking place at five locations nationwide. As a result of this growth, the company has developed this new organization of Customer Program Managers to ensure effective and timely communications between Gulfstream and its customers.

Burns, who has 16 years of experience in the business aviation industry, had been serving as Gulfstream's Director of Information Services. A native of Savannah, he earned a bachelor of science degree in Industrial Engineering from Georgia Southern University. He resides with his wife, Donna, and their three children in Savannah.
