GULFSTREAM PRODUCT SUPPORT RAMPS UP SALES TEAM
Steve DeLoach, Doc Palm, Brian Shank Promoted to Directors, John Cooreman, Mark Fischer Appointed National Avionics Sales Managers
SAVANNAH, Ga., Jan. 22, 2004 - In a continuing effort to better serve new and existing owners of Gulfstream aircraft, Gulfstream Product Support has realigned its sales team. Steve DeLoach, Doc Palm and Brian Schank have been promoted to directors of sales in their respective geographic regions while John Cooreman and Mark Fischer have been hired as national avionics sales managers.
"We've evaluated our product support sales efforts and strategically realigned the leadership of our sales teams," said Greg Byrnes, vice president sales and new business development, Gulfstream. "By promoting Steve, Doc and Brian and adding John and Mark, we will be able to provide optimum regional coverage by individuals who have both the experience in their respective regions and the expertise in the types of services we offer."
Steve DeLoach has been promoted to director of sales – East Coast Maintenance Sales Team, overseeing all avionics and maintenance sales efforts in the Eastern United States. Most recently, DeLoach served as district sales manager, service center sales, eastern region. A 7-year Gulfstream employee, DeLoach joined Gulfstream as an aircraft mechanic at the company's Long Beach, Calif., facility. He earned an associate degree in aircraft maintenance technology from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and holds an airframe and powerplant (A&P) license.
Doc Palm, who has 24 years of corporate aviation and business experience, has been promoted to director of sales – Midwest Maintenance Sales Team, overseeing all avionics and maintenance sales in the Midwestern United States. A 9-year Gulfstream employee, Palm most recently was the general sales manager, service center sales. Prior to embarking on an aviation career, he served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as a staff sergeant and worked as a Chinese interpreter during the Vietnam War. Palm holds a master's degree in finance and a bachelor's degree in accounting, both from the University of Minnesota.
Brian Schank has been promoted to director of sales – West Coast Maintenance Sales Team. In this position, he will oversee all avionics and maintenance sales efforts in the Western region of the United States. Most recently, Schank served as a Gulfstream district manager, service center sales, overseeing the sales of aircraft maintenance and service to customers in the Western region of the United States, Pacific Rim and Western Canada. Schank, who has more than 15 years of aviation experience, joined Gulfstream in 1998. He earned a bachelor's degree in aviation maintenance management from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill. He also holds an airframe and powerplant (A&P) license as well as a pilot's license.
John Cooreman and Mark Fischer have joined Gulfstream as national avionics sales managers, reporting to Schank and DeLoach, respectively. Both men will oversee all avionics sales in the United States.
Cooreman, who has 18 years of aviation experience, most recently served as a worldwide avionics product line manager for Bombardier Aerospace. Prior to that, he worked in the maintenance and engineering department for American Eagle Airlines, in Chicago.
Fischer who has 19 years of corporate aviation sales and business experience, most recently served as the avionics sales manager for Garrett Aviation. Prior to that, he was a regional sales manager for Rockwell Collins. Fischer holds a master's degree from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor's degree from North Dakota State University.
Gulfstream operates six service centers, located in Long Beach, Calif.; Dallas; Appleton, Wis.; Brunswick, Ga.; Savannah, Ga.; and London, England, that provide comprehensive product support, including aircraft maintenance, refurbishment and system and component installations, for the entire fleet of Gulfstream business jets.
