GULFSTREAM SELECTS DAVID M. JOHNSON AS DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS, PRODUCT SUPPORT MATERIALS, REPAIR AND OVERHAUL, SAVANNAH

SAVANNAH , Ga., January 16, 2008 – David M. Johnson has been selected as director of operations, product support materials, repair and overhaul, Savannah. In this new position, he will have oversight responsibility for the Product Support warehouse and for the Product Support transportation, parts planning and distribution, purchasing and spares production departments.

Johnson joined Gulfstream nine years ago and prior to his new position was Lean Six Sigma program manager as well as serving as the company’s representative on the General Dynamics Manufacturing Council’s Lean Six Sigma subcommittee. Johnson’s previous positions included department manager, composite assembly and integrated production manager, sub-assembly, warehouse and tooling. From October 2003 to December 2005 Johnson was senior manager of operations at the company’s Mexicali facility.

Johnson holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Kansas Wesleyan University in Salina. He also served in the U.S. Army and was a crew chief for an AH-64A helicopter.
