GULFSTREAM NAMES EMERY WILTSE SENIOR ADMINISTRATOR, FINAL PHASE SERVICE CENTER, SUPPLEMENTAL TYPE CERTIFICATE

SAVANNAH, Ga., March 10, 2008 – – Gulfstream Aerospace has named Emery “Kip” Wiltse senior program administrator, final phase/service center, Supplemental Type Certificate (STC). He is responsible for leading the company initiative for Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) approval of Gulfstream as an Organizational Delegation Authorization (ODA) for final phase completions and product support STC certifications. Wiltse reports to Bill Whitton, vice president, ODA lead administrator.


Wiltse has been with Gulfstream for nine years. He was the certification manager and Designated Alteration Station (DAS) administrator in Appleton, Wis. Before that, he was a technical specialist III/DAS administrator.


Wiltse began his 33-year aerospace career in the U.S. Army as a UH-1H helicopter crew chief. He later worked as a technical administrator and manager in several positions for Kal-Aero Inc. in Battle Creek, Mich. Wiltse earned a bachelor's degree in aviation technology and management and a master's degree in engineering management from Western Michigan University. His certifications and licenses include FAA-designated engineering representative – systems and equipment/structures; FAA-designated airworthiness representative – maintenance; FAA-designated airworthiness representative – manufacturing; FAA inspection authorization; and FAA airframe and powerplant (A&P).
