GULFSTREAM LONDON-LUTON FACILITY APPROVED TO SERVICE EASA-REGISTERED GULFSTREAM G150 AIRCRAFT

Center Also Received Approval To Manage Continuing Airworthiness Of Large Aircraft

SAVANNAH, Ga., December 22, 2008 – The Gulfstream London-Luton Service Center recently received approval from the United Kingdom Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) to perform maintenance on Gulfstream G150 aircraft registered with the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

The amended certificate means the maintenance facility can now provide comprehensive service for the Gulfstream G550, G500, G450, G350, G200, G150, G400 and G300 as well as the GV, GIV-SP, GIV, GIII and GII.

The London-Luton Service Center was also designated an EASA Part M Subpart G organization, which means it can oversee the continuing airworthiness of aircraft with maximum takeoff weights (MTOW) exceeding 5,700 kilograms.

The U.K. facility already has EASA Part 145 maintenance organization approval and Part 21 design, production and repair approval. The addition of Part M Subpart G increases the aircraft maintenance and airworthiness management options available to operators of European Union-registered Gulfstream aircraft.

“Luton is an important geographic location for Gulfstream and services a significant number of transient aircraft,” said Mark Burns, president, Product Support, Gulfstream. “The fact that we can now service the entire Gulfstream fleet is of significant value to our customers and a reflection of the capability of our outstanding workforce.”

London-Luton is the only Gulfstream-owned service center outside the United States. In 2004, it became the first Federal Aviation Administration-certificated aircraft maintenance facility outside the U.S. to be awarded the FAA’s Aviation Maintenance Technician Diamond Certificate of Excellence. The certificate recognizes the highest level of achievement among five levels of technician maintenance training.
