SAVANNAH, Ga., August 3, 2009 - Gulfstream Aerospace has promoted three of its Corporate Flight Operations pilots. Scott Evans is now chief pilot, Demonstration; Bud Fidrych is chief pilot, Large-Cabin Demonstration; and Adam Spitler is chief pilot, Airborne Product Support (APS).
Evans is responsible, in this newly created position, for both the Large-Cabin and Mid-Cabin Demonstration groups and their operations. He also serves as the Flight Operations liaison to the Marketing Department.
Evans’ previous position was chief pilot, Advanced Programs, Mid-Size Cabin, where he supported the development of the Gulfstream G150 and G250 aircraft programs. Before joining Gulfstream, Evans was the chief pilot for Galaxy Aerospace and a pilot for Service Corporation International and Learjet.
Evans has earned pilot type ratings for the Gulfstream G550, G500, G450, G350, GV, G200, G150 and G100, as well as the Israel Aerospace Industries IAI-1125 Astra, Lear 60 and LR-JET.
Fidrych, in his new role, is responsible for the Large-Cabin Demonstration group and its operations. His group showcases Gulfstream large-cabin aircraft capabilities to potential customers worldwide. Fidrych replaces Neil Vernon, who was appointed director, Demonstration and Corporate Flight Operations, Gulfstream Aerospace, in early May, 2009.
