ATLANTA, Ga., October 18, 2010 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. today announced an order from Asia Jet for three aircraft, a Gulfstream G150, G200 and G250. The aircraft will be in charter service from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport following delivery in 2011 and 2012.
Asia Jet, a Hong Kong-based private charter company, was recently named as the exclusive sales and marketing agent for all Part 135 aircraft under China Eastern Airlines’ newly formed Aircraft Operating Certificate for the region. Asia Jet announced that it has signed an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding with China Eastern Airlines to manage these aircraft in Mainland China. Asia Jet has one of the largest charter fleets in the region, with offices in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Tokyo.
"These are capable, comfortable, highly-productive aircraft. We have had a great experience with Gulfstream products and know the market will be very pleased with these proven performers and our exceptional level of personalized service," said Mike Walsh, Asia Jet CEO.
