GULFSTREAM NAMES CHRISTINE MANKA WILLIAMS SENIOR OPERATIONS MANAGER FOR REFURBISHMENT

SAVANNAH, Ga., December 16, 2010 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently promoted Christine Manka Williams to senior operations manager, Refurbishment. Williams reports to Jamie Fields, senior manager, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO).

In her new position, Williams implements process changes and oversees the work performed in the trim, wood, finish and paint shops at the Gulfstream Savannah Service Center.

Williams is a 14-year Gulfstream employee. Most recently, she was assistant program manager for Gulfstream’s Military and Special Missions unit, where she led a team that designed and outfitted the interior of a Gulfstream G550 that serves as an atmospheric research aircraft, known as HALO (high altitude, long-range), for the German Aerospace Center (DLR). Among other duties, she managed military refurbishments and coordinated and oversaw all military and special missions aircraft visits for all Gulfstream facilities. Previously, Williams was a supervisor of military aircraft for five years and served on teams that converted six G550 aircraft into Conformal Airborne Early Warning (CAEW) aircraft.

Gulfstream's dedicated Special Missions team increased the G550's maximum zero fuel weight; provided the structural attachments, racks and wiring; nearly tripled the electrical power by adding two additional generators; and installed a liquid cooling system.

Other positions Williams has held at Gulfstream include senior service center coordinator, service center maintenance planner and senior technical planner.

Williams holds an international business degree from European Languages and Business School (Euro Sprachen und Wirtschaftsschule) in Aschaffenburg, Germany, and is a Certified Project Manager (CPM).
