GULFSTREAM'S DALLAS SERVICE CENTER RECEIVES MAINTENANCE APPROVAL FROM BRAZIL AND MEXICO AVIATION AUTHORITIES

Dallas Facility Now Has Seven Authorizations To Perform Maintenance And Repair

SAVANNAH, Ga., June 16 , 2011 - The Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. service center in Dallas, which supports business-jet operators in Latin America and the southwestern U.S., recently earned approved maintenance organization (AMO) designations from Mexico and Brazil.

The authorizations mean that aircraft registered under Mexico's Direccion General de Aeronautica Civil (DGAC) and Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) can undergo maintenance, repairs, alterations and inspections at Gulfstream's Dallas Love Field facility.

Gulfstream Dallas is the first company-owned service center to earn AMO status from the DGAC.  It joins Gulfstream's West Palm Beach, Fla., service center as ANAC-authorized facilities.

“Being able to service nearly the entire Mexico and Brazil-based Gulfstream fleet in Dallas is very significant,” said Mark Burns, president, Gulfstream Product Support.  “We have more than 90 aircraft in both countries combined, and the fleet continues to grow.”

The aircraft covered by Gulfstream Dallas' Brazilian certificate are the Gulfstream G550, G500, G450, G400, G350, G200, G100, GV, GIV and GIII; the Dassault Falcon 10, 20, 50, 200, 900/900EX and 2000/2000EX; the Bombardier Challenger 300, 600 and 601; the Hawker Beechcraft 400XP, 800, 800/900XP; and the 1125 Westwind.

All Gulfstream in-production and legacy models are included in Dallas' Mexican certificate along with the previously mentioned Falcon models; the Hawker Beechcraft 400XP, 800, 800/900XP, 1000 and 4000; Bombardier Challenger 600, 601 and 604; and 1125 Westwind.

Gulfstream Dallas is a certified U.S. Federal Aviation Administration and European Aviation Safety Agency Part 145 repair station, which means Dallas' 184 Product Support employees can work on aircraft registered in the U.S. and European Union countries.  Gulfstream Dallas also has maintenance approvals from the civil aviation authorities in Canada, Bermuda and Mauritius.

In 2010, Dallas' employees serviced a combined 1,805 aircraft at their 412,000-square-foot facility and on road trips.  To support the Gulfstream fleet and other aircraft, Gulfstream Dallas has access to a U.S.-based spare parts and materials inventory of approximately $815 million.
