SAVANNAH, Ga., August 31, 2011 - Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. recently named company veteran Jamie Fields to the newly created position of director, Repair and Overhaul Services. Fields reports to Barry Russell, vice president, Customer Support.
In his new role, Fields is responsible for expanding and enhancing Gulfstream's repair and overhaul capabilities worldwide, particularly for components.
Fields, a 26-year Gulfstream employee, was most recently senior manager, Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul. In this position, he oversaw and managed the infrastructure and support of Gulfstream Product Support's business office, tooling and ground support in Savannah. His responsibilities included managing several back shops at the 679,000-square-foot Gulfstream Savannah Service Center, including the auxiliary power unit, engine, composite, hydraulic component repair, landing gear overhaul and windows/wheels/brake shops.

Fields began his career at Gulfstream as a member of the GIII production line. He has also been an avionics installer, systems test technician, service center maintenance planner, service center mechanic, avionics technician, business office manager and a customer program manager.
Fields holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from California Coast University and is a licensed airframe and power plant mechanic.
