Since 1967 when the U.S. Navy selected the Gulfstream I as a trainer for A-6 crews, Gulfstream Aircraft have been earning recognition as the definitive choice for special mission platforms. Today more Gulfstream aircraft are performing government and military service than any other large cabin business jet aircraft in the world. More than 30 countries worldwide operate Gulfstreams, including 23 nations that use our aircraft to transport their heads of state. Within the United States, Gulfstream aircraft account for the majority of all large-cabin business jets delivered to the government from 1967 to the present. We have even earned the distinction of serving all five branches of the U.S. military.
MEDEVAC

Outstanding performance capabilities prepare Gulfstream aircraft for the stern demands of medical evacuation (MEDEVAC) service. They operate comfortably from airfields that are inaccessible to other aircraft. The Gulfstream G400, G500, and G550 perform well even under tough weather conditions, while the lowest altitude cabin environment in the ultra-long range class reduces the stress to patients caused by altitude changes.

Configuration choices range from one or two litter positions to multiple litters for evacuating casualties. A Gulfstream G400 MEDEVAC aircraft can accommodate 12 to 14 patients in standard NATO litters, plus three medical attendants and supplies. It can even be outfitted with full surgical facilities for critically ill patients.
Typically, a dedicated Gulfstream MEDEVAC aircraft converts to the passenger configuration for operational flexibility when medical capabilities aren’t required.
